TJ advances to the elite-8!
Harmon Park, by Steve England; ESVN (Fair and Balanced) - From the beginning TJ showed strength and consistency which tested DH. DH quickly goes down love-40, but fights back to take the first game of the match by tagging the baseline! TJ gets the edge on a triple-volley exchange at the net, and the match levels out 1-1 early in the first. Players continue to exchange games until TJ rips a forehand winner to inch ahead 4-3. DH starts hitting long, and TJ adds the remaining games to his tally. TJ closes out the first set 6-3.
Starting strong at the beginning of the second---DH quickly gets hindered by tennis elbow, cramps, and a bleeding finger ripped open during hard hitting match play! Finding herself down 2-1...DH is poised to even the set, but can't handle a deep baseline shot at her feet! TJ fights off DH's drive to tie, and jumps ahead 3-1 in the second! At 4-2 DH comes alive as TJ starts to wilt. DH ties it up at 4-4, and is only a swing away from taking the lead! With strong net position, and a vulnerable TJ at her mercy---DH's shot is wide, and the momentum swings to TJ! TJ rips a line-drive at DH on match-point, and it's all over! TJ knocks DH out of the playoffs 6-3,6-4!
